1921
HILLS JEWELLERS OPENED
Hills Jewellers has been a part of Felixstowe since it first opened its doors in 1921 and was originally based at 85 Hamilton Road.
In august 1975, the company moved to 32 Orwell road, which is still it’s home today.
1999 - 2004
NEW OWNER
We have always been a family owned business and the current owners are no exception.

In 1999 Margaret Harris decided she wanted a shop, by the seaside and bought Hills the Jewellers in Felixstowe. She already owned the well established Flitwick Jewellers in Bedfordshire. Margaret Harris worked until in Hills Jewellers untill 2004 and was chairman of the National Association of Goldsmiths 1998 - 2000.
2000 - today
THE NEXT GENERATION
The two shops are now run by her second daughter Vanessa who is a partner in the business and works mainly at Flitwick Jewellers and her son in law, Paul is based at Hills Jewellers in Felixstowe .
Although Margaret has now retired, she still has an active involvement and this year has been honoured to be invited to become the president of the National Association of Goldsmiths.
